Episode 2

Going Through Changes with Paulina

Published on: 24th June, 2021

In episode 2, Paulina tells her story of coming of age in a foreign country.

Paulina, who is also Aga's sister, talks about the 'thermal shock' she experienced when she was entering adulthood in America after graduating from high school in Poland. It's an emotional conversation that explores the disconnection between here and there, our perception of cultural differences, and the experiences of here and there that shape our identity.

We also check in with Sasquatch, New Jersey bears, and baobabs in Africa. Follow, subscribe and share if you can. We want to hear what you think so get in touch, email us at hello@hereandtherepodcast.com, and comment!

About the Podcast

Here and There
Here is Here and There is There
In this podcast, we’ll be talking to people willing to share their stories of here and there. We want to go beyond race, accent, and cuisine and have conversations that will allow us to understand the meaning of here and there better. You’ll hear us wonder about what it means and how it feels to be an immigrant, expat, or otherwise. We are curious how we can see each other and be together while sharing the richness of our experiences. We hope you’ll join us and forgive us if our silliness gets in the way.
